THANKFUL FOR YOU

Image
The spirit of thanksgiving is the key to releasing the supernatural power of God in your life. Jesus fed 5,000 people with the power of thanksgiving. John 6:11 says, "and Jesus took the loaves. And when He had given thanks, He distributed to the disciples, and the disciples gave to the people." "The spirit of thanksgiving puts a seal of blessing on anything that you've already received" We should be thankful for  everything  that God has brought us through. We may have gone through more than we wanted to, but it was His grace, His mercy, and His hand that has sustained us until this day. We should be thankful for His Word that is alive and powerful, for every promise that He has made and kept, and for every promise that He has made and will keep in the future, because our God is not a man that He should lie. We should be thankful unto Him and bless His name always. So many of us forget the goodness of God and quickly remember the things we wish to complain abo...

LIGHT OF LIFE

Image
Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, ‘I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life’ (John 8:12) At the end of a 40-day fast, when Jesus was weak and hungry, Satan whisked Him to the top of a high mountain where the kingdoms of the world were spread before Him in their glory. “All these things I will give you,” he promised, “if you will fall down and worship me” (Matthew 4:9). Satan possessed that ability. When the former angel of light was cast from heaven, he became the prince of darkness, the ruler of this world. Where spiritual darkness exists, Satan has authority. Jesus, the Light of the world, withstood the temptation and sent him away with the Word of God ringing in his ears. For those who trust in Him, He fills us with that same light of life. He charges us to shine this light before others, so they may see our good works and glorify our heavenly Father. We are like a city set on a hill ablaze with light; we cannot hid...

THE POWER OF PRAISE

Image
But I will sacrifice to You with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay what I have vowed. Salvation  is  of the LORD. (Jonah 2:9) Praise and thanksgiving open the door to the demonstration of God’s power in our lives. Never is this truth more evident than in the life of Jonah, that headstrong prophet from Jaffa. When God instructed Jonah to head north and deliver a warning to the city of Nineveh, he sailed straight south instead. Because he hated the Ninevites so much, Jonah took control into his own hands. When a terrible tempest blew up, Jonah demonstrated his relentless stubbornness. He opted to take a swim rather than submit to the Lord. The sailors threw him overboard, the storm ceased, and Jonah was swallowed by a huge fish. From the belly of the whale, he cried out to God. Jonah’s sacrifice of thanksgiving won him the opportunity to go do what God had instructed him to do in the beginning. Upon his admission of gratitude, God caused the whale to spit Jonah on the bea...

KNOW WHO'S IN CONTROL

Image
" Yours, O LORD,  is  the greatness, the power and the glory, the victory and the majesty; for all  that is  in heaven and in the earth  is yours . Yours  is  the kingdom, O LORD, and You are exalted as head all". (1 Chronicles 29:11) Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,  and  into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him,  and  bless His name. With this one realization comes amazing liberation – we are not in control. When we lay hold of this fact and relinquish our rights to the One Who is, we open ourselves to miraculous possibilities. Many of us believe that we are in control, convinced that everything rises and falls on our endeavors and efforts. We plot and plan, maneuver and manipulate. Scripture tells us that we might make many plans, but only God’s purposes will stand (Proverbs 19:21). He will have His way. All the time and in every situation, God alone has complete control. When we finally lay down our illusion...

MERCY AND GRACE ARE GIFTS

Image
Mercy, grace  and  peace will be with you from God the Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love. (2 John 1:3) God is the Master of unexpected gifts! Mrecy and grace are two of His best. We can extend those same gifts to others. While we were still sinners, God demonstrated His love by sending Jesus to die for us. His grace gave us what we did not deserve and could never earn. He accepts us just as we are, because He knows what we can become in Him. God has the divine right to judge us for all of our offenses. He offers us mercy instead. Every morning, His mercy and loving kindness are fresh and new for us. He does not give us the judgment we rightfully deserve. What unexpected gifts grace and mercy are in this cruel and critical world! Instead of allowing imperfections and irritations to build up walls, could we bridge the gap with His grace and mercy? Because God accepted us in the state we were in, could we accept people just as they...

NO LIMITATION OR EXPIRATION

Image
"The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever". (Isaiah 49 : 8) The only set of scales big enough to balance the chaos of our day and to overcome the deceptions of this generation are the words of our Living God Who never falters or fails. The only scales accurate enough to treat every person with justice are the words of God bound in the pages of the Bible. They equally value every life, fairly and squarely weigh every motive, and grant every individual their full worth. This Word is the firm foundation that undergirds our lives. It heals our hearts and mends our minds. It delivers from addiction and releases every person that has been restrained. It restores every single thing that the enemy has stolen. When we pray its promises over our family, it erects a hedge of protection that Satan cannot penetrate. When preached to a nation, it brings repentance and revival. The weight of the world may bow our shoulders, but God sees it as a small th...

PRAISE TO THE BREAKTHROUGH

Image
Praise the LORD! Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for  He is  good! For His mercy  endures  forever. (Psalm 106 : 1) When we choose thankfulness in the middle of the trial, the power and presence of God breaks through to bring us victory. Every week, Theinnermaninme Ministries receives messages from individuals who partner with us or who need prayer for difficult situations. One particular letter came from a mother to ask for prayer for her daughter, Queen. Queen was a healthy, happy teenager who joined her youth group for a much-anticipated ski trip. While hurtling down a hill, she had a terrible accident that broke her neck and several vertebrae and left her with a life-threatening head injury. The first letter begged, “Please pray that my daughter doesn’t die.” And we did. For several weeks, Queen teetered between life and death, bedridden and without much hope. Every week, Queen’s mom sent an update: “I’m thankful that my daughter is still alive. I’m thankful th...

BLESSED IS THE NATION

Image
Blessed  is  the nation whose God  is  the LORD, the people He has chosen as His own inheritance. (Psalm 33 : 12) The Nigeria that we once knew is disappearing before our eyes. Our foundational freedoms are being eroded. Many agendas that our society promotes as progress equate to moral insanity. Why should we be concerned about the future? The good life that we hoped to extend to our children and grandchildren is consistently crumbling, because we have abandoned the principles of righteousness. Now more than ever before, believers must humble ourselves, pray, and seek God’s face. We must turn from our wicked ways so that God will heal our land. Change begins in our prayer closets and in our own hearts. Repentance and prayer lead to revival! As the righteous of the Lord, we must impact this world as His salt and light. We must speak His truth into the darkness. We must counteract corruption, extend mercy, and stand for justice. Our faith must propel us to action. ...

GOD'S PROMISE

Image
“Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”  - (Habakkuk 2:2-3) January marks the beginning of a new year. With the turning of the calendar pages, we are given the opportunity for a fresh start…a new beginning. This year, see the mountains of impossibility crumble for with God, nothing is impossible!  Remember God’s promise in Isaiah 43:18-19, “Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” The only way that you can fail is if you give up, so keep moving forward! A new year is a clean slate filled with endless possibility. Give God the glory for the good days and the bad…and get re...
