Welcome To Year 2023

TRANSFORMATIVE NEW YEAR PRAYERS (Opening Our Hearts, While Closing Our Eyes) Today's a new day, a chance for a new start. Yesterday is gone and with it any regrets, mistakes, or failures I may have experienced. It's a good day to be glad and give thanks, and I do, Lord. Thank you for today, a new opportunity to love, give, and be all that you want me to be." Thank you Dear God, that you make all things new. Thank you for all that you've allowed into our lives this past year, the good along with the hard things, which have reminded us how much we need you and rely on your presence filling us every single day. We pray for your Spirit to lead us each step of this New Year. We ask that you will guide our decisions and turn our hearts to deeply desire you above all else. We ask that you will open doors needing to be opened and close the ones needing to be shut tight. We ask that you would help us release our grip on the things to which you’ve said 'no,' 'not y...

You Can Touch Lives

Image
This is why your response right now is critical… Look around – our nation and the nations of the world have lost the moral compass.  As a society, we have stripped the name of Jesus and the Ten Commandments from our public buildings and schoolhouses. We have replaced the Good News with fake news, and we live in a state of fear rather than faith.  But the story doesn’t end there… You were created in God’s image to live abundantly. You are called to be salt and light (Matthew 5:13). Together, we have the greatest opportunity to share truth with a world that is suffering; we cannot afford to waste a single minute. It is time for us all to rise up and share the Gospel with friends, neighbors and loved ones. It is up to us to be doers of the Word and not hearers only (James 1:22). How can we effectively take Nigeria back? How can we touch lives around the world? One heart and one life at a time. By supporting this ministry, YOU are helping to win the lost.  As this ...

DON'T BE DECEIVED

Image
Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. (1 John 3 : 7) We are a nation in need of truth. We treat symptoms in our society, but we seldom search for the actual cure. We are so quick to treat the surface symptoms, we rarely get to the root cause of the problem. We take a handful of pills for a quick fix rather than search for and treat the source. The root cause of the problems in our nation is sin – not lack of gun control, a struggling economy, a lack of tolerance, or any other reason. Jesus warned us that deceptive days would come (Matthew 24), and John urged us not to be deceived. We are surrounded by fraud, slander, manipulation, and pretense. It is difficult to distinguish the truth from the lies. How can we be certain? If the articles we read do not align with God’s Word, they are false. If the reports we hear do not line up with what He says, they are untrue. If the actions we witness are not supported by th...

EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED

Image
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts. (Isaiah 55 : 9) Have you ever considered how influential our expectations are in our outcomes? If we do not expect good things to happen, they usually will not. Often our expectations serve as limitations on what God can accomplish in our lives. We pray for the things that we desire in the ways that we determine they should happen under a deadline that we establish. But God’s Word tells us that He has greater things in mind than we can even imagine, that His plans are much better than ours, and that His timing is impeccable. We often expect our blessing to look a certain way and be delivered on a certain date. If we stubbornly refuse to let go of our too-small expectations, we will limit the God Who wants to do exceedingly, abundantly above what we could think or ask (Ephesians 3:20-21). We sell ourselves short! God has promised that our eyes have never seen, our e...

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Image
Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.” And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men!” (Luke 2:11-14) We have a reason to rejoice as we remember the greatest gift ever given…eternal life through Jesus Christ. He is the real reason that we celebrate Christmas. It’s not about the gifts under the tree, but about the One who died on the tree to redeem us from our sins.   In this season of hustle and bustle, it is easy to get swept up and lose our peace and joy. No matter what’s going on in your life today, God is saying to you, “fear not, I bring you tidings of great joy.” Give Him glory an...

FAITHFUL TO THE END

Image
"But he who endures to the end shall be saved." (Matthew 24 : 13) As the signs of Jesus’ return increase, we have a choice to make. We can be blown about by the calamitous winds or we can choose to anchor our lives in Christ and His Word. God did not leave us ignorant concerning the dark days to come. Daniel prophesied of an antichrist who will become so powerful that he will dare to challenge the very Prince of princes (Daniel 8:25). He will have complete authority over a one-world government with a one-world economy, and a one-world religion, executing anyone who opposes him. Jesus foretold a time of tribulation that has never been witnessed since the world began. Unless those days are shortened, no human will survive (Matthew 24:21-22). As we perceive the signs of His appearing, our world grows increasingly fearful, running to and fro, accumulating knowledge in hopes of curing the ills of this current age. Instead of being overwhelmed by confusion and dread, we must mak...

AT THE APPOINTED TIME

Image
"The Lord is not slack concerning  His  promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance." (2 Peter 3 : 9) God holds the stopwatch in His hand. From the first morning of creation – before sin ever entered the equation – God knew the day, the hour, the very second that Christ will return to catch away His church. Peter warned that doubters would have plenty to say before His return. Where is this Jesus? What happened to His promised return? From the beginning of time until this very day, everything continues the same (2 Peter 3:4). Those scoffers do not know the God Who spoke, and galaxies spun into existence. He hung the moon and named the stars. He caused the oceans to teem with life and the dry land to rise from the waters. He prompted the grass to spring from the soil and created the cattle to graze. He spoke, and it was good. His Word remains good today. He is not slow about keepi...

EXAMINE YOURSELVES

Image
Examine yourselves  as to  whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are disqualified." (2 Corinthians 13 : 5) As the signs of the last days rage around us, our sovereign God is still in control. As He delays His coming, we need to heed the wake-up call and warn others that the time to choose Jesus is now. Today’s verse encourages every person to examine himself. Are you truly in the faith? Is Christ really at work in your heart? Are His power and wisdom growing in you every day? Are you looking more and more like your Father? The Bible warns us of a broad way that leads to destruction; multitudes will take that easy path to eternal loss. The gate is small, and the path is narrow that leads to true, eternal life, and few will find it (Matthew 7:13-14). To find that path and to stay on that path takes discipline and focus. Test yourself! Where are you in life? Are you walking the narrow, blood-st...

Understanding The Signs Of His Coming

Image
"Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, ‘Tell us, when will these things be? And what  will  be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?’" (Matthew 24 : 3) Even before His death on the Cross, Jesus’ followers have looked for the signs that He would return. Jesus described a series of events that would occur – some immediately following His crucifixion, others that would take centuries to develop. Jesus declared that the Second Temple in Jerusalem would be destroyed, that not one stone would remain atop another. In AD 70, Titus besieged Jerusalem and decimated the Temple and the city, carrying off the holy implements – previously viewed only by the High Priest – to parade them through the streets of Rome. Jesus assured His disciples that Jerusalem would be trampled by the Gentiles until the Day of the Gentiles was fulfilled. While Israel became a nation in 1948, it did not come into the hands of the Jews until 1967 when I...

EVER FAITHFUL

Image
"…even from everlasting to everlasting, You  are  God." (Psalm 90 : 2) God remains ever faithful. The One Who moved in generations past still reigns from His throne today. Elijah and Elisha, the prophets of God, served shoulder to shoulder in the midst of a corrupt generation. Ahab, the Israelite king, did more to anger God than all the others before him (1 Kings 16:33). As an ardent devotee to Baal, Queen Jezebel ruled over the pagan worship in the kingdom – false gods, ritual prostitution, and child sacrifice. She habitually executed priests and prophets of the true God. Elijah and Elisha boldly proclaimed the Word of the Lord and condemned the worship of Baal before Ahab and Jezebel. Because of the evil they perpetrated in Israel, God finally eliminated their family line. We also serve in a generation that has rejected God to turn aside to lesser idols. Instead of being overwhelmed by despair and fear as events unfold, we are called to be beacons of truth to a world that...
